JENA, Germany, June 13, 2025 – Asclepion Laser Technologies is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its successful Er:YAG laser Dermablate® – a milestone in the history of medical laser technology. Since its market launch in 1995, the system has been continuously developed over eight generations and has established itself as the gold standard in dermatological and aesthetic laser therapy.
With over 4,000 systems installed worldwide, including 1,500 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland alone, the Dermablate® represents a unique success story. Three generations that are currently in use in German-speaking countries are particularly noteworthy:
- MCL29 Dermablate: 340 systems
- MCL30 Dermablate: 300 systems
- MCL31 Dermablate: 600 systems
The latest, eighth generation of Dermablate® was presented at the renowned Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC) in Monaco in September 2021. There are already 170 systems in use in German-speaking countries – impressive proof of the trust that experts have in Asclepion’s continuous innovative strength.
Each generation has brought significant technological advances – from increased performance and integrated smoke extraction to optimized user interfaces and innovative technological upgrades such as MicroSpot. The design and user-friendliness have also been continuously developed.

To mark its 30th anniversary, Asclepion is presenting the DeepSpot upgrade for scar treatment. Thanks to a smaller spot (7 x 7 mm²), a higher single-pulse fluence of 30 J/cm² and a maximum fluence of 150 J/cm², scars can be treated even faster and more efficiently. In addition to the technological highlight, Asclepion will also be presenting clinical innovations.
With innovative and standardized laser protocols, the full potential of Dermablate® is unleashed.
