JENA, Germany, October 1, 2024 – Asclepion Laser Technologies has been a leading company in the market for aesthetic laser medicine for over 45 years. Constant new developments make Asclepion an outstanding company in the optical industry. Following the successful launch of the Er:YAG laser Dermablate® in September 2021 at the Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC) in Monaco, the company is today introducing a new handpiece for this laser system: The DeepSpot handpiece. In 1995, Asclepion introduced the first Er:YAG laser, the MCL29 Dermablate, and is now setting new standards with the Dermablate® with its high power, integrated smoke evacuation and innovative handpieces.
DeepSpot for scar treatment
The Dermablate® is the most powerful and flexible Er:YAG laser for high-precision skin ablation and fractional therapy. Thanks to its wide range of handpieces, the system enables all relevant applications in dermatology such as ablation and skin rejuvenation. The DeepSpot handpiece is now setting new standards in the treatment of scars. Thanks to a smaller spot of 7 x 7 mm2, a higher fluence of 30 J/cm2 per pulse and a maximum fluence of 150 J/cm2, scars can be treated even faster and more efficiently.
Plug & Play handpieces
The Dermablate® offers a wide range of handpieces for a wide variety of treatment options. A total of 6 handpieces are available. The handpieces are thin and light, made of stainless steel and can be sterilized. In addition to the DeepSpot (7 x 7 mm2), the following handpieces are also available for skin ablation: Fineliner (1.5 mm Ø), VarioSpot (1 – 6 mm Ø) and MicroSpot (13 x 13 mm2). In addition, the Dermablate® can be equipped with the SteriSpot® handpiece (9 x 9 mm2) for intravaginal treatment and with the ROMEO® handpiece (5 x 5 mm2) for snoring.
Optimal workflow: smoke evacuation & handpiece port
The Dermablate® is equipped with an integrated smoke evacuation system – for absolutely efficient treatments. The suction in the immediate vicinity of the treatment area simplifies the workflow considerably. Adjusting the smoke extraction using the rotary ring above the display also makes handling particularly easy and uncomplicated for the user. The integrated smoke evacuation system is also particularly quiet thanks to activation by footswitch and the double hose system.
The handpiece port of the new Dermablate® makes it easier to change handpieces, thereby simplifying the workflow. The tubes can be connected directly to the multifunctional handpiece port. All handpieces are recognized automatically. This ensures a quick and easy workflow for the user in everyday practice.
10.1 inch LCD touchscreen
The Dermablate® has a 10.1 inch LCD touch screen with an intuitive user interface and is suitable for both beginners and experts: The user can choose between the menu for direct parameter input and indication list. Beginners select the desired treatment and the device provides the correct settings. Experts go directly to the work menu and set the parameters themselves. It also impresses with its large buttons and symbols for extra clear visualization and with the black background for better contrast and clearer highlighting of active elements by changing their size and color.
Easy to move & wireless foot control
The Dermablate® has been designed with large, ergonomic wheels that allow the device to move around the treatment room without resistance. The optional wireless footswitch also ensures convenient and practical treatment. It communicates directly with the system via Bluetooth, making the device even easier to use. After use, the footswitch can be stowed away at the back of the Dermablate®.
